Virtual Transitioning for Individuals with Disabilities during COVID-19

Vista Life Innovations is hosting a collaborative presentation on Transitioning with Autism: A Medical and Personal Journey with Roger Jou, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H. and Abha Gupta, M.D., Ph.D. from the Yale Child Study Center.

Roger Jou, M.D., Ph.D. is an Instructor in the Yale Child Study Center and has studied autism spectrum disorders across the lifespan for over two decades. Abha Gupta, M.D., Ph.D. is an assistant professor of pediatrics and is investigating the genetics and neurobiology of autism spectrum disorder.  

Vista Life Innovations will lead the discussion about how adults can prepare for transition by learning coping skills and strategies for navigating everyday life. Dr. Jou and Dr. Gupta will cover recent advances in autism genetics research and clinical genetics testing in autism, discuss an ecosystem approach to autism research and wellness, and share insight on creative collaborations, current research, and community resources. The presentation will end with a panel of Vista students and members speaking on their transition into learning independence.
