Communities & Campuses
Our location offers the best of both worlds! Located in the beautiful coastal towns of the South-Central Connecticut shoreline, with easy access to New York City and Boston, our campuses offer the perfect mix of metropolitan conveniences and small town charm. From the walkable and historic downtown business districts to easy access to public transportation, the beach and a myriad of recreational opportunities, the towns that Vista calls home (Westbrook, Guilford, Madison, Clinton, and Old Saybrook) help to nurture and support the needs of Vista and our students and members.
Westbrook, CT is where Vista was founded in 1989. It is also the location of our Westbrook Campus, where new students live and learn in Vista's Discover Program. Our Westbrook Campus, located in the center of town, is close to local shops, banks and restaurants. Many members in the Engage Program also live in their own apartments or condominiums in Westbrook. Nearby, the Middlesex Hospital Primary Care Center offers convenient 24 hour medical services. A local mall features national chain stores.
Madison, CT is where you will find our Administrative & Services Center and Cultural & Community Center, along with our 712 Boston Post Road campus. The Cultural & Community Center is home to the Engage Members' Clubhouse, the Connect Program and an array of program services. Madison is a picturesque shoreline community with outstanding town beaches, in addition to a State Park with two miles of pristine beach along Long Island Sound. The town center has unique shops and restaurants, an art cinema and a nationally acclaimed bookstore.
Clinton, CT is home to Canterbury Common, a condominium complex created and supported by Vista for Vista members. Not far away is Clinton House, a Vista-owned residence for Engage members. Both of these sites offer a full range of services. The town stretches along the Route 1 corridor, which is bustling with many local businesses as well as national retail outlets. Clinton abounds with apartment complexes and is home to 70+ Engage Program members.
Old Saybrook, CT is where many Engage Program members live and work. The town is located along Long Island Sound as well as the Connecticut River. Downtown Old Saybrook features a variety of shops and restaurants that students and members frequent. Our students and members are employed at retail stores in the Old Saybrook Shopping Center, which is easily accessed by the shoreline shuttle.
