February/March Core Value Highlight: Diversity
Differences among us bring strength, value, and perspective.

As we continue with our focus of the Core Value of Diversity, we’re reminded of an important day for many members of the Vista community. This Sunday many of our students and members will be enjoying the big game, while others will be enjoying spending time with their friends. Whether you enjoy the food, the commercials, or sitting glued to the TV watching the game, the best part of Super Bowl Sunday is spending time with friends and family.

For the football fans out there... the big question is who will win, the Philadelphia Eagles or the Kansas City Chiefs? We asked one of our resident NFL experts Alex, a Discover student and NFL fan. Even though his team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, he still had this confident prediction to make about the upcoming game. “I think it’s going to be a blow out, Patrick Mahomes (Quarterback for the Chiefs) is really good! As far as defense, the Chiefs side won’t let the Eagles score.” We’ll have to wait until Sunday to see if Alex’s prediction is correct.

Another Vista football fan is Danny, who proudly represented the LA Rams this week, even though they won’t be playing on Sunday.

Alex and Danny recognize that not everyone in the Discover Program is an NFL fan, so they will invite their peers to join them not only for the game, but also for the camaraderie, good food, and enjoyment of other’s company. No matter if you care about the big game or not, have a good weekend! We here at Vista hope that you have a super Sunday!

More to come...
