The Vista Community's Labor Day Picnic!
Pia Lauder, John Morgan

Last Friday, Vista students, members, and staff from across all our programs convened at the Westbrook Campus for our annual Labor Day picnic! Lawn games were set up, the grill was fired up, and there were pop-up canopies to help everyone beat the heat.

Over 60 students and members attended the picnic, and there was representation from all of Vista’s programs (Discover, New Heights, Connect, Engage, and Thrive). Everyone had a great time playing games, eating good food, and of course, participating in the annual Vista water balloon toss.

The world famous Vista water balloon toss!

“It was good!” Vista member Tyler told us. “There were hot dogs and hamburgers, and we had fun playing basketball!”

We ended the day by throwing all the extra water balloons at the Vista staff! It was a great way to end the day, with a lot of laughter and some good-natured fun.  We were so happy to see the students and members from the Vista community enjoying the day, and seeing how events like the Labor Day picnic help bring our community closer together.
