This summer we have been challenging the Vista community to go out on an ADVENTURE! Our “Put Vista on the Map” campaign has been so much fun so far, and as we are halfway through the summer, we wanted to showcase submissions from our students, members, staff, and community members in a photo album.

We have labeled each submission with the type of "Adventure" that has been completed. For the full list of adventures, click here to visit our website. Vista member Chris went on a "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" Adventure, first flying to visit his family in Charlottesville, Virginia, then on to Colorado to visit his nephew, and finally watching small planes takeoff and land from the flight school at a regional airport in the Rocky Mountains!

Engage Program Counselor Nicole Flynn went on a "Hiking Adventure" in the Swiss Alps! In the background of the photo you can see the famous Staubbachfall waterfall in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland.

Vista member Sam "Put Vista on the Map" at Indianapolis National Airport. For visiting the capital of Indiana, we're recognizing Sam with the "Capital Adventure", which is fitting since he's also posing as the capital "I" in Indy 500!

Elisabeth Shaughnessy completed a "National Park Adventure" at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania! Elisabeth is the Retail Manager of Creations Madison, Vista's nonprofit store in downtown Madison that supports our programming and vocational training.

Vista member Courtney is "Putting Vista on the Map" in Palm Beach, on the Caribbean island of Aruba! We are recognizing Courtney with the "Southern Adventure" for getting so close to the equator!

Keera Swan, Engage Program Counselor, Put Vista on the Map in Niagara Falls, NY. Keera wore her Vista wristband on the Maid of the Mist boat cruise, and so we're recognizing her with a "Planes, Trains, Automobiles, and More!" Adventure.

Vista member Tyler wore his wristband while on his bike ride. Tyler achieved the "Planes, Trains, Automobiles, and More Adventure" while using a fun mode of transportation!

Vista Board Member Peter Scranton "Put Vista on the Map" in Madison, CT at a little league game! Peter has always believed in Vista's mission, shown perfectly by his "Believer in Abilities" Vista long-sleeve!

Everyone has done a great job showcasing our vibrant community this summer. Keep checking our Facebook page for more adventures near and far! If you haven’t participated yet you, your family, and your friends can still submit photos of your summer travels while wearing your Vista wristband or Vista swag (t-shirts, cycling jerseys, anything Vista)! Submitted photos will be posted on the Vista Facebook account for the community to enjoy during the months of July and August. Join us in celebrating Vista's impact and spreading the word far and wide! We want everyone to be a part of the fun, so if you don't have a Vista wristband, No problem! Email Pia Lauder to get yours (they're free!).
