At Vista, we believe that a sense of community is what binds us together. In fact, those at Vista learn that it is possible to become active members of a diverse array of communities.
In this blog series, What does Community Mean to You?, we will be highlighting a few of the communities that our students and members take part in. We hope that by reading these stories, you will be able to learn about the valuable connections that our students and members make every day.
For over a decade, the annual WALK for Vista has made an impact on our community and the lives of our students and members. Participants are encouraged to form teams and walk together in large groups during their training, enjoying each other’s company as they prepare for event day and fostering a sense of community.
On Sunday, October 24, Vista supporters will gather at our Madison campus for WALK for Vista 2021. The event features a 3-mile walk through downtown Madison and along the shoreline. This event draws nearly 300 participants annually, including our students and members and their families, staff, and Vista's community partners.
This annual walkathon and fundraising event is an opportunity for our students and members to connect with the community. We asked several Vista members who are walking with some of our top fundraising teams about why they WALK for Vista.

This community event has a long-lasting impact on the participants, connecting them with Vista Life Innovations beyond this one day. We hope you’ll become a part of the vibrant Vista community, whether you join us to walk or share your support with our WALKers or teams!
