A Shared Stage Productions, a program of Vista Life Innovations, invites versatile performers ages 15 and older to audition for its upcoming spring musical production of Sister Act.

Auditions will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 from 5 to 9 pm and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1 to 5 pm at Vista's Madison Campus, 107 Bradley Road. Performers should come prepared to sing 16 measures of sheet music and be dressed to move. An accompanist will be provided.

Sister Act is an uplifting and joyous musical comedy that uses music to bring together different communities and lifestyles. It shares the story of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, a worldly singer, who witnesses a mob crime. The police hide her as a nun in a traditional convent where she has trouble fitting in. Ultimately, Deloris finds that many of the nuns at the convent are not that different from her and that they are quite enjoyable to be around. They help give her a bigger purpose in life, showing her a genuine love and affection that was missing prior to her arrival at the convent.

The production will run May 17, 18 and 19 at The Kate in Old Saybrook under the direction of Martin Marchitto.

To schedule an audition, please contact Jess Lillge at 860-399-8080 ext. 269 or Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
