Community Comes Together at All Shook Up

Community Comes Together at All Shook Up

At Vista, we believe that a sense of community is what binds us together. In fact, those at Vista learn that it is possible to become active members of a diverse array of communities.

In this blog series, What does Community Mean to You?, we will be highlighting a few of the communities that our students and members take part in. We hope that by reading these stories, you will be able to learn about the valuable connections that our students and members make every day.

Connections form when we create opportunities for individuals to grow and learn together. At A Shared Stage Productions, Vista’s all abilities theater program, Vista students and members come together with performers from the greater shoreline theater community to create incredible shows. The cast and crew work hard, laugh and bond over their experiences, often forming friendships that continue beyond the stage.

This year's production of All Shook Up is inspired by and features the songs of ELVIS PRESLEY ® (book by Joe DiPietro) and is loosely based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. All Shook Up tells the story of a small town girl (with big dreams) from somewhere in the middle of a square state...in the middle of a square decade...and the motorcycle-riding stud she falls for. After postponing the show because of COVID in 2020, the cast and crew of All Shook Up are so excited to perform!

The students and members of All Shook Up deeply value their experiences with A Shared Stage Productions. Here are some quotes from Vista students and members who are part of this year’s cast and crew:

“Since 2014, these shows have felt like a home away from home.”

“I have fun every time I come to rehearsal. It is like I am part of the family.”

“It is a big family!”
