The Vista Community Gathers for Tour de Shore 2021

The Vista Community Gathers for Tour de Shore 2021

At Vista, we believe that a sense of community is what binds us together. In fact, those at Vista learn that it is possible to become active members of a diverse array of communities.

In this blog series, What does Community Mean to You?, we will be highlighting a few of the communities that our students and members take part in. We hope that by reading these stories, you will be able to learn about the valuable connections that our students and members make every day.

For over a decade, the Vista Tour de Shore has made an impact on our community and the lives of our students and members. Participants are encouraged to form teams and ride together in large groups during their training, enjoying each other’s company as they prepare for event day, fostering a sense of community.

On Sunday, October 10, Vista supporters will gather at the Westbrook Elks Lodge for Vista Tour de Shore 2021. This annual cycling and fundraising event is an opportunity for our students and members to connect with the shoreline’s active cycling community. Featuring 4 courses of different distances, the Tour de Shore allows riders of all abilities to come together for a fun morning along Connecticut’s scenic shoreline during the peak of autumn foliage.

This community event has a long-lasting impact on the participants, connecting them with Vista Life Innovations beyond this one day. We asked several riders to share why they Ride For Vista.

What is more important than that!” She adds, “The picturesque shoreline by bike is a gift, and I wear my Vista Tour de Shore jersey with great pride.”
